Knowledgeable Guidance to Expunge or Seal a Criminal Record

Not all criminal records can be expunged or sealed. As a seasoned attorney, David Allen can quickly assess if you are eligible for expungement or record sealing. While expungement is more desirable, record sealing may be the next best option for some. The differences are as follows:

  • When a criminal record is expunged, it is removed from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement records. If your case is properly expunged, then when you are asked if you have a criminal record on employment applications, rental applications and other documents, you can answer "no."
  • When a criminal record is sealed, its access is highly restricted. Only certain parties can access the record, yet when you are asked whether you have a criminal record, you can still answer "no."

Are you concerned about your criminal history? Has your criminal history prevented you from getting a job or a place to live? We can talk to you about your criminal past, identify if your past crimes are eligible for expungement and seek to have your record expunged.
